It's appalling that a government would pass laws virtually with little ensight. Committees, heads of crypto exchanges, etc are listened to. Taking a year or so to discuss and actually use crypto would be prudent. However, all cryptocurrency buyers and sellers are now in a situation where tax education or a crypto tax expert will be needed. Tax experts in crypto aren't easy to find since nothing was given a year or more in advance. I go over some of this and more in the video at the bottom of the page. The United States will be taxing nearly everything they can get a 'trillions of dollar in debt country' from their citizens.
